Link bites: Hutcherson doesn't make blog's top-10 homophobes
We suspect that Pastor Hutch will be sending out a missive to his "Prayer Warriors" asking them to intercede on his behalf because he's been left off of Part 1 of a list compiled by widely-read blog, Queerty, of the "20 most frightful anti-gay activists."
Hutcherson, after all, appears to consider himself to be a major player in this hate game and would probably be offended not to be given 'props' in such a list.
But you've gotta hand it to the Redmond preacher, he's doing his best to get his name into the top of any future collection of that sort. He's lately been hinting to his Prayer Warriors that he's about to make a big splash with a campaign against companies that tolerate diversity in the workplace.
And then there's his Watchmen conference this weekend that brings together a frightful collection of bigots, even though none of them made it onto Queerty's initial list.
Queerty generally appears to operate with a New Yorker-inspired map of the country -- a map that considers "West Coast" to mean either LA or San Francisco. But even for those with that kind of perspective, Hutcherson, may soon make his awful presence felt.

Wow. There is even an East Coast bias in rating homophobes. What next? To leave Hutcherson off the list is a clear oversight by Queerty. Hutcherson is taking this to a whole new level by aligning himself with such radical groups calling for holy war and instigating violence.

There's this pure marketing aspect to just about any activist on the right or the left. They fight for mind-share like a store fights for market-share.
Looking at him in that narrow way alone, Hutcherson strikes me as a tough competitor who would hate to be excluded from any list like that. He seems to be a publicity hound -- as most good promoters are -- and being included on a list like Queerty's is the kind of thing he seems to crave.
Which makes me kinda happy (in a schadenfreude way) that he got skipped over.
