Lily Armani won a guest-host segment on KOMO TV's Northwest Afternoon Congratulations to Lily Armani who (as GaySeattle.blogspot quickly reported ) won the "So You Think You Can Host" competition on KOMO TV's Northwest Afternoon program. Wearing a stunning sequined gown -- a choice rarely seen on daytime TV -- and with a large group of fans in the audience, she won a gift certificate to Ponti Seafood Grill and the opportunity to host a brief segment on the afternoon talk show. You can see a video of the final round in that link, or (currently) watch any of the three final segments...

KOMO has apparently fixed the clip that includes Lily Armani's interview with an celebrity guest . Lily and the other contestants weren't told beforehand who the guest would be, but all of them recognized KOMO meterorologist Steve Pool and most managed to handle the introduction elegantly enough. But Lily really did show good hosting chops when she skipped the usual "Why are you a weatherman" line and instead asked Poole about his Valentine's Day plans. Lily Armani , Seattle's "Flower of Couture" is one of five contestants competing to become a co-host of a "segment" on KOMO4's afternoon talk fest, Northwest Afternoon. Lifelong's statement says, Thom has publicly shared that Lifelong received complaints from sponsors and has made statements that the decision...

On Thursday, Lifelong AIDS Alliance used its own MySpace blog [usual MySpace warnings apply] to tell its side of the story about the firing of non-renewal of contract for its longtime drag host of Gay Bingo. On Tuesday afternoon, a decision was made by Lifelong AIDS Alliance to discontinue contract negotiations with Thom Hubert (aka GLAMAZONIA), host of our popular Gay Bingo events for the past seven years. The statement is unsigned on MySpace, but is also printed on Lifelong's main website and is signed there by Lifelong's executive director Dave Richert. He expresses a bit of surprise...
