Just in time for the film's brief return to Seattle, GaySports.com offers a review of Shelter , which is now playing at the Varsity. [see previous Qblog post for details] Shelter is about a young man named Zach, played brilliantly by Trevor Wright, who is struggling to take care of his wayward sister and her son after the death of their mother. Zach is a typical California 20- something who has a talent for art, but has forgone his future in order to stay at home with his family. While Zach may be typical on the outside, with his love of surfing and skateboarding, his struggle to find his place...

Filmmaker and activist Drew Emery, creator of the film Inlaws & Outlaws , this week sent out a graceful Thanksgiving-season email to the film's mailing list acknowledging all the people who have helped get the film screened throughout the country. So we give thanks to Pastor Dan Shelly of the Ravenna UMC who hosted the very first Hearts + Minds screening in May. He wanted everyone to know that his congregation was open and affirming. And the latest was Friday in Des Moines . Clare Elizabeth decided that if her church was going to become open and affirming, they needed to see the film. Thank...
