CA marriage case New York -- The ACLU, Lambda Legal, and several other advocacy and legal groups are urging gay and lesbian couples who get married in California to avoid the temptation to file suits in their home states. In a statement entitled "Make Change, Not Lawsuits" [ pdf copy of full statement ], the groups say that any lawsuits filed as a result of the May California Supreme Court ruling should follow careful strategic objectives.
