On Sunday, March 9 at 5:15pm, after the Safe Schools Coalition's viewing and discussion of "It's Still Elementary" at the Broadway Performance Hall from 2pm-5pm (visit www.safeschoolscoalition.org for more information!!), GLSEN Washington State, in a partnership with ACTION Northwest, will be holding a candlelight vigil for Lawrence King, the student from Oxnard, CA, that shot in school back on February 12th by a fellow classmate.

In honor of Lawrence, and other youth that have been killed due their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, we will be holding a candlelight vigil in front of the Broadway Performance Hall, 1625 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122.

Scheduled speakers currently include Commissioner Jerry Hebert from the Washington State Human Rights Commission.  Stay tuned to www.glsenwa.org for the latest information on who is scheduled to speak.
