Actor/model/singer Alan Ritchson, was -- we're told -- a contestant on the karaoke show American Idol. Wikipedia explains,
[H]e was one of the top 87 contestants in the third season before being cut in Hollywood. He was remembered primarily for his striptease in one episode in which he wooed judge Paula Abdul.
He caught the attention of many of us when he played "Aquaman" to Tom Welling's Superman in Smallville. (Upper right in this montage.) But -- despite a reprise or two -- the role turned out to be a short gig. Since then, the A&F alum has appeared in even more viewable still-image roles for N2N Bodywear, Joe Boxer and others -- many of which take fullest advantage of his gorgeous bod.

He was -- appropriately enough -- born in a town called "Niceville" in Florida in 1982.
