Jesse Metcalf appears to be ready to get over the cute, sexy boy-next-door image from his days on Desperate Housewives.

And -- oh my! -- does he do it will with these shots recently added to his official MySpace page. Still super-sexy, but the 29-year-old appears to have grown way beyond the "cute" and "boy" part of any description. Very hot buff man who's just enough dangerous. And we're delighted to see it.

To indicate the image-switch, TreyCruz, is kind enough to dig up a transitional shot or two of Jesse playing on the beach with the former look.

But it's those new bearier and nicely inked shots (spotted quickly by OhLaLa, of course) that have our imagination running. (With an actor, of course, it's sometimes tough to guess whether the tattoos are really inked or just painted on by makeup.)
